After the creation of the Tao the universe splits into two forces equal at all times, the Yin and the Yang, but it is how we as human beings perceive them or use them to measure the reality we live in that is explained in this video. It is a simplification, the concept we know in the west as Yin and Yang in the modern world while the truth of the forces are far more important.
